Robert

Robert started into the art field at the age of 19 by becoming an airbrush artist at Magic Mountain in Valencia, California. Robert's friends were a major driving force in his pursuit to tattoo, they bought him equipment and donated their skin. In 1994, Robert got his first professional break at Melrose Tattoo where he worked for two years. In 1996 he worked in Denmark at Royal Tattoo where he stayed for three years before moving to Holland to work with Greg Orie at Dragon Tattoo for two years. After returning from Europe, Robert worked at Eternal Art in Canyon Country for three years.

2004 was a good year for Robert, not only did he add five trophies to his collection by sweeping The Best Tattoo of the Day for all three days, and winning 1st and 2nd place for Best Backpiece at Inkslinger's Ball, but he realized his dream of opening his own studio with his partner, Danielle Oberosler.

Robert likes doing large tattoos that flow with the body. He likes to do work that can be seen from a distance and easily identified. His main forte is Japanese work, though he describes it as Westernized version. Since the images are repeated in his work, he departs from what he's already done by taking the images to whole new levels. He adds layers in his work, or texture, or mixes things up entirely which makes his work more beautiful every day.
